Description
Early Life
Dr. Kate Stevens grew up in Poulsbo. Her family always had pets and friends always remarked how well she related to dogs and cats. It seemed a natural choice to become a veterinarian. She attended Washington State University for both undergrad and graduate school. She became Dr. Kate Stevens in 2013.
Medical Philosophy of Dr. Kate Stevens
Dr. Kate Stevens believes the human-animal bond is a fundamental relationship that keeps both the human and the animal healthy. In 2012, she interned at CAWC. She felt that a vet clinic focused on preventive care and educating clients to care for their dogs and cats fit with how she wanted to practice medicine. She joined our animal hospital Companion Animal Wellness Center in 2016. Dr. Stevens likes that the name honors both the role pets play in our lives and her goal of preventing rather than reacting to disease.
Animal Clinic Location
The vet clinic is located between Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island. This also makes it convenient to Suquamish, Kingston, Hansville and Port Gamble. It is not uncommon for us to see patients from Seattle, Silverdale and Bremerton too.
