AAHA Accredited since 2004
Companion Animal Wellness Center proudly earned AAHA accreditation in 2004. High quality care has been part of our animal hospital since day one. Achieving AAHA accreditation within one year of opening was the best way to prove it.
AAHA stands for the American Animal Hospital Association. This group helps vets provide the best possible medical care for pets and customer service for you. AAHA developed a list of 900 + rigid standards. The standards cover everything from technology to staff training to cleanliness to patient records and everything in between. If it has to do with quality veterinary care for your pet, AAHA has established a high standard to address it.
Veterinary practices are not government inspected.
Accreditation is a voluntary process that involves a practice holding itself accountable to an outside evaluation. The honor of accreditation is earned when the standards are met. Accredited practices must be reevaluated every 3 years. This assures you that the practice is continually evolving and adapting to meet the most current and highest standards of veterinary medicine.
Companion Animal Wellness Center offers the highest quality veterinary care to Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island pets at our local animal hospital. The accreditation of our vet clinic shows not only our commitment to veterinary excellence, but our commitment to you and your pet as well.

We love our pets as much as you do yours. They play a huge part in making our lives happy. We know how scary it can be when they don’t feel well and you are not sure what is the best thing to do. Our pet parent sides have all been there too. We know how you feel.
Our commitment to you…
is to provide the same level of caring care for both you and your pet that we want to receive when our own pets are ill. We look forward to meeting you and working together to keep that special dog, cat or pocket pet in your life as happy and healthy as possible.
