Surgical Surprises

Our furry friends eat the darndest things!  Why?  We don't know, but here is a sample of interesting items we've removed.

 "The Salad"

A gallon ZipLock bag full of pieces of silk flowers

Removed from a 4 1/2 year old, 44 lb, spayed female, lab mix.

"The Decorator"

Several yards of Christmas ribbon

Removed from a 5 year old,  77 lb, intact male, bulldog

 "The Great Mystery"

Largest piece (2 1/2 inches) of hard black rubber unknown object.

Removed from 3 1/2 year old, 165 lb, neutered male, english mastiff.

   "The Tailor"
3 pins from a pin cushion eaten by an 11 month old, 32 lb, neutered male, mini-austrailian shepard
The tailor was a busy boy with a side business in mechanics.

His x-rays also showed a bolt (from an earlier day of naughtiness) that had travelled all the way through his digestive system and was about to pass in his stool.
