LIKE ABOUT JOB:
I really enjoy meeting all of the wonderful pets that make my clients' lives more fun, entertaining and full of love.  It is special to be a part of the lifelong care of these animals and to get to watch them grow with their families.  Every day is different and challenging, and I am always learning.

HARD ABOUT JOB:
It is a challenge to work with the financial constraints that are often present and how they may affect the diagnosis and treatment of pets.  It is always difficult to guide people through the loss of a pet/family member.

Bogie (cat),
Boxer (cat),
Scout (Jack Russell, Poodle, Cocker mix)

Jogging, cycling, skiing, reading, Taekwondo (my boys and I all earned our black belts together), camping, anything with family and friends.

OTHER JOBS: cashier at REI, warehouse picker and packer -- college summer jobs.  Server at Red Robin as undergrad.

RECENT MOVIE FAVORITE & WHY:
"UP" - we're still seeing mainly family friendly movies for the most part, aside from the wonderful animation and humor, it does a wonderful job of developing the back story of lifelong love and eventual loss.  Touching.

RECENT FAVORITE BOOK & WHY:  "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini - Realistic fiction about the life of an average woman in Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion, the ruling of the Taliban and a short time after.  It made me feel for the everyday people trying to live their lives in war torn countries and grateful for my life in the US.  Sheer pleasure reading favorite is a fantasy novel series "Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin

PLACE IN WORLD WOULD LIKE TO GO & WHY:
Anywhere .... have yet to start my travels.  For sun, warmth and beautiful waters would love to see Greece.  The history and many cultures of Europe will likely fill many trips in the future.
